Sales rise 19.87% to Rs 40.85 crore

Fortis Healthcare reported net profit of Rs 9.60 crore in the quarter ended
March 2008 as against net loss of Rs 13.07 crore during the previous quarter
ended March 2007. Sales rose 19.87% to Rs 40.85 crore in the quarter ended
March 2008 as against Rs 34.08 crore during the previous quarter ended March
2007.

For the full year, net profit reported to Rs 2.62 crore in the year ended
March 2008 as against net loss of Rs 48.69 crore during the previous year
ended March 2007. Sales rose 22.94% to Rs 157.93 crore in the year ended
March 2008 as against Rs 128.46 crore during the previous year ended March
