Idea Cellular net profit rises 110.74% in the March 2008 quarter

Sales rise 138.12% to Rs 1972.40 crore

Net profit of Idea Cellular rose 110.74% to Rs 278.20 crore in the quarter
ended March 2008 as against Rs 132.01 crore during the previous quarter
ended March 2007. Sales rose 138.12% to Rs 1972.40 crore in the quarter
ended March 2008 as against Rs 828.31 crore during the previous quarter
ended March 2007.

For the full year, net profit rose 108.02% to Rs 1044.39 crore in the year
ended March 2008 as against Rs 502.06 crore during the previous year ended
March 2007. Sales rose 53.90% to Rs 6719.99 crore in the year ended March
2008 as against Rs 4366.40 crore during the previous year ended March 2007.
